The Monte Carlo Golf Club, conveniently located 25 minutes north of Monaco, is 6,355 yards and offers 18 holes on a mountain-like terrain. This, however, is not a mountainous golf course. Nestled at nearly 3,000 feet above sea level, this top-tier, 4.5-star golf course has many elevation changes and challenges for a par 71. The views of the sea and the mountains are absolutely stunning and worth the scenic climbs.
Designed by Willie Park Jr. and opened in 1911, this classic course’s design has truly stood the test of time and become a favorite for many locals and visiting tourists. The course is located under the famous Mont Agel peak and surrounded by parkland and rural countryside.
Golf Club degli Ulivi Sanremo

Although located in Italy, this excellent golf course is less than an hour east of Monaco and France. Often known as the “Golf Club San Remo,” this par 69 course allows 5,700 yards of green to play 18 holes. You will experience tight challenges, dramatic changes in elevation and breathtaking scenes of the Mediterranean landscape.
Designed by Mario Bianci and built in 1932, this beautiful course was the former home of many Italian Open Championships and the European Seniors Tour. If you visit this course, make sure to take advantage of the opportunity to wander around Sanremo and take in the beautiful sites of their charming houses on their dramatic perches. Sanremo flowers are said to be among the most beautiful in the entire world.

If you’re looking for a golf experience and aren’t up for an 18-hole round, check out the 9-hole course at the Golf Country Club de Nice, only half an hour west of Monaco. It welcomes visitors every day, offering practice opportunities like a 27 tee driving range, putting green, chipping green, pitching green and practice bunker.
The French Riviera course is 1,509 yards and a par 27. It offers a pro shop, clubhouse, restaurant and bar. You will also find a trolley and clubs available for rent. The club offers group lessons and hosts many events. This is a great place to come out and practice your swing. The club even has a conference room, veranda, terrace and event amenities if you are looking for a location to hold your special occasion.
